Last night, I attended a fabulous event hosted by the West Elm store in Santa Monica where they invited five designers to pick out their five "must haves" for chic living. I love the West Elm catalog and always look to them when I need some design basics, but going into the store and being able to see, touch and feel the products gave me a new admiration for the quality of the products West Elm produces. As one of the designers, Nicole Sassman, proclaimed, West Elm is like "design for dummies." Another designer whose work I've become a big fan of and was finally able to meet last night is Vanessa De Vargas, of Turqoise LA. It was a great event and I loved being able to see design through the eyes of so many talented professionals. Enjoy some of their favorites below, I know I already have my eye on a few pieces that would really complement my home, and with their affordable prices I can really go all out.
